The Cantonal Court in Sarajevo has confirmed the indictment of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Canton Sarajevo (CS) against El Oweiti Abdel Majid, Hedberg Oliver Peter, and Konrad Tylus for the criminal offenses of “Murder” and “Attempted Murder.”

According to the indictment of the Prosecutor’s Office of the CS, the accused are charged with killing one citizen of Sweden, Harris Osterdahl, and injuring another on October 31st, 2023, around 4:25 PM in the Ilidza municipality of Sarajevo.

The accused had previously planned the murder by first arriving from Turkey to Sarajevo, renting a car and an apartment in Istocno Sarajevo, buying an electric bicycle, and acquiring a firearm with a silencer. On the day of the murder, they drove to the Bulevar neighborhood in a car in front of one of the buildings where H.L.O. was staying.

Accused Hedberg Oliver Peter parked the car and took out an electric bicycle from the trunk, on which the accused El Oweiti Abdel Majid and Konrad Tylus sat and started riding. They then, disguised with hoodies, caps, and surgical masks, approached the entrance door of the business premises of one of the markets in front of which H.L.O. and E.M. were located.

Accused Konrad Tylus slowed down the bicycle a few meters away, while El Oweiti Abdel Majid fired about 30 shots from a firearm – an automatic rifle – at H.L.O. and E.M. Out of about 30 shots, 26 hit H.L.O., resulting in his death, while E.M. sustained minor injuries to the abdomen.

Afterward, the accused fled to the territory of Republika Srpska (RS).

Shortly after, police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of RS arrested El Oweiti Abdel Majid and Konrad Tylus in the municipality of Pale, while accused Hedberg Oliver Peter was arrested in the municipality of Sokolac. The prosecuting attorney proposed the extension of detention for the accused in the indictment, and for the main trial, the court proposed hearing 20 witnesses, six experts, and presenting about 200 material pieces of evidence, Klix.ba reports.
