Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant says the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are in the heart of Gaza City and that Hamas leader Yehya Sinwar is surrounded in a bunker.
However, Gallant did not say where that bunker was located. He added that Israel will not rule Gaza after the war, but neither will Hamas.
Recall that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said earlier today that Israel will have “overall security responsibility” in Gaza “for an indefinite period of time”.
Gallant also said that there will be no humanitarian pause until the hostages are returned.
Referring to the conflict with Hezbollah on the Lebanese border, he said that 70 of their fighters had been killed, but that Israel had “no interest” in a war with the group, Klix.ba reports.
