Tima Džebo, one of the best Bosnian and Herzegovinan basketball players of all time, has passed away at the age of 61 after a battle with a serious illness.
The news of her death was announced by her longtime friend Merhunisa Omerović.
Tima Džebo was born in 1963 in Olovo.
She began her career in Stupčanica, and played for Željezničar, Šibenik, Jedinstvo and Ježica.
With the Yugoslav national team, she won silver at the 1990 World Championship in Malaysia.
With Bosnia and Herzegovina, she won a gold medal at the 1993 Mediterranean Games in France.
The time and place of the funeral will be announced later.
