The lifeless Bodies of a Woman and a Child were found in Miljacka River in BiH’s Capital

Tonight, a little before midnight, the Stari Grad Police Department received a report that a body was found in a riverbed in Miljacka, Bentbaša area of Sarajevo. The patrol that went to the field confirmed the report.

Members of the police, firefighters, ambulance and GSS were sent to the field. At 1:30 a.m., the body of a middle-aged woman was pulled out, along with the body of a child up to four years old.

Doctors declared the death of both people on the spot.

According to the information currently available, there are no visible injuries on the bodies, the Canton Sarajevo Ministry of Internal Affairs announced.

The prosecutor led the investigative team and the investigation, which was carried out by members of the CS MUP Police Directorate and a permanent medical expert. The bodies of the deceased were transferred to the Prosecutor’s Office in Bare.

Police officers, under the supervision of the prosecutor, are continuing their work on elucidating all the circumstances of this event, according to the CS MUP.
