Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the UN, Zlatko Lagumdžija, who closely follows the political events in New York regarding the Resolution on the genocide in Srebrenica, conveyed good news from the United States to the Radiosarajevo.ba portal.
“Today, the list of sponsors ended at 38. You know that at the end of April, that number was 28. In 20 days, we received 10 more strong sponsors of the Resolution on the Genocide in Srebrenica,” Lagumdžija says.
Already on May 2, the number of countries sponsoring the resolution was 32. Then Poland, Luxembourg, Belgium and Estonia joined. All that was great even then,” added Lagumdžija.
Later, the number of sponsors was increased to 35.
“Iceland, Marahal Islands and Norway have also become sponsors. Now we have three more new sponsors: Australia, Andorra and Micronesia. There are still two days to the United Nations sessions and we will see where we are,” said Zlatko Lagumdžija.
