The government in Gaza has announced that the lives of 800,000 people are at risk of hunger and thirst, after Israel prevented humanitarian aid from entering the central and northern parts of the Gaza Strip.

The media office of the government in Gaza issued a statement regarding the refusal of Israeli forces to allow the entry of humanitarian aid into the mentioned regions.

The statement emphasized that the lives of people in central Gaza and the northern regions are at risk because of Israel’s policy of leaving them hungry and thirsty.

It was stated that 1,300 humanitarian aid trucks were needed daily, 700 to Gaza City and 600 to the north, but Israel was causing total starvation in that region.

The announcement states that Israel did not allow humanitarian aid to enter, and that it opened fire on aid trucks trying to reach the region and targeted drinking water sources and wells.

It was stated that Israel, as well as the international community and the United Nations, are responsible for the deaths of people from hunger and thirst, and an immediate cessation of Israeli attacks was requested.
