The Mayor Komšić received the Representatives of the Chinese Development Bank

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAToday at the premises of the City Administration is received the delegation of China Development Bank, and the Mayor of Sarajevo Ivo Komšić stated that this meeting is a continuation of discussions that took place during the visit of the representatives of the City of Sarajevo to this friendly country in July of this year.

Actually, the Mayor Komšić and the Mayor of Novi Grad Semir Efendić, who also attended today’s reception, participated at the meeting of local leaders of China and of the countries of Central and Eastern Europe in Chongqing and held talks with representatives of Chinese investors and investment institutions.

China Development Bank, as pointed out by its representative Wang Yasheing besides providing financial support to the projects, presents also the platform for connecting investors from China and potential carriers of projects from B&H.

Yasheing used this opportunity to present the criteria that applicants must fulfill before they apply with their projects, in the areas of infrastructure (sewage, water supply, street lighting, roads, etc) and energy efficiency (solar power plant and thermal powers).

One of the conclusions of this meeting is that the City of Sarajevo to initiate in the future meeting with representatives of municipalities, cantons and higher levels of government, in order to agree on the projects and the possibilities of funding from the China Development Bank.
