The mayor of Sarajevo, Benjamina Karić, welcomed the mayor of Zagreb, Tomislav Tomašević, in the City Hall and announced the improvement of cooperation between the two cities.

“A bilateral meeting with my colleague Tomislav Tomašević in the City Hall and a discussion about the future of our capital cities and the fight against corruption! The cooperation between the capitals of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia, Sarajevo and Zagreb, has been going on for more than two decades, and we want to improve it with a new signing of the Agreement from 2001.” , said Karić.

Karić also announced that she will plant a tree of friendship in Zagreb and Sarajevo.

“We are continuing the beautiful tradition of summer vacations for children of lower financial status from Sarajevo on the Adriatic in Novi Vinodolski and wintering of children of lower financial status from Zagreb in Sarajevo,” said Karić.

She said that young mayors have an obligation to nurture friendship, improve and be oriented towards the future, the progress of cities and the prosperity of the entire region.
