Rashid Al Haddad is a member of the Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen and has gained a lot of popularity on social media because of his appearance.

Namely, on social networks, Rashid regularly posts footage of captured cargo ships in the Red Sea, and this 19-year-old is followed by over 35 thousand people and that number is constantly growing.

The young rebel has attracted attention on social networks with his appearance, and one of his videos has been viewed as many as 19 million times, earning him the nickname “the Yemeni Timothée Chalamet”.

However, Rashid isn’t happy with the attention he’s getting for his looks and recently took to X to share an article published in Newsweek portraying him as a handsome Houthi who has been driving female fans crazy on TikTok.

“I never talked about beauty or anything else, our problem is only Palestine and this is not the time to talk about someone’s appearance,” he said, referring to the article and adding: “I hope my message will reach a free Palestine and we will continue to fight against Israeli aggression which constitutes a violation of human rights.”

It is important to mention that, although in some of his posts he wears military clothes and sometimes carries an AK-47 automatic rifle, there is no evidence that Al Haddad directly participated in the kidnapping and attacks on ships in the Red Sea, N1 writes.
