Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip since October 7 have killed 25,700 Palestinians, the Ministry of Health in the blockaded enclave announced on Wednesday.
The ministry announced that 63,740 people were injured.
It added that Israeli forces committed 24 massacres across the Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours, killing 210 and wounding 386 people.
“Many people are still trapped under the rubble and on the roads, and rescuers cannot reach them,” the statement said.
Israel attacked the Gaza Strip after a cross-border attack by the Palestinian group Hamas, which is believed to have killed around 1,200 Israelis.
According to United Nations data, due to the Israeli offensive, 85 percent of Gaza’s population has been internally displaced and faces an acute shortage of food, clean water, and medicine, while 60 percent of the enclave’s infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed.
“People in Gaza not only risk being killed or injured by the relentless bombardment, but also have an increasing chance of contracting infectious diseases,” UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said on Tuesday.
