The Number of newly infected with Coronavirus is falling slightly in Canton Sarajevo

Last week, according to the Sarajevo Canton Public Health Institute, a total of 504 new cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed, after 3,891 people were tested.

Compared to the previous two weeks, there is still a decrease in the number of new cases. Thus, this number was lower by 12 cases last week (2.3 percent), and a week earlier, the decline was 113 cases or 18 percent.

On average, 72 newly infected patients were registered daily for the past seven days. In the same period, six deaths were reported as a result of this infection.

Currently, 1,004 cases of coronavirus infection are active in Sarajevo Canton. 41 patients were hospitalized, three are on a respirator, and one patient uses oxygen breathing support.

The proportion of unvaccinated patients on hospitalization is 85.37 percent.
