The total number of Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip has exceeded 35,000, according to health authorities in the enclave.

During the past 24 hours, the Israeli army has killed 63 Palestinians and wounded another 114 people.

This brings the total number of dead to 35,034 and the number of injured to 78,755 since the outbreak of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict on October 7, according to the statement.

The announcement added that a number of victims were still under the rubble, but that emergency and civil protection teams could not reach them, Xinhua reported.

Israel launched a major offensive against Hamas in the Gaza Strip after its members attacked the southern part of Israel on October 7 last year, when about 1,200 people were killed and about 250 were taken hostage.
