The number of Palestinians killed in the Gaza Strip in Israeli attacks has risen to 33,899, according to the Hamas-run Ministry of Health.

The Israeli army has killed 56 Palestinians and wounded 89 in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of dead to 33,899 and wounded to 76,664 since the conflict between Israel and Hamas broke out.

As stated in the announcement, some victims remained under the rubble in the wake of the heavy bombing and the lack of rescue teams.

On October 7, 2023, Israel launched a large-scale offensive against Hamas in Gaza in response to a Hamas attack across Israel’s southern border, during which about 1,200 people were killed and more than 200 were taken hostage, reports Xinhua.
