The Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Norway to the OSCE visits the Ministry of Interior of ZDC

The Minister of Internal Affairs of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, Emir Vračo, and the Police Commissioner of the Police Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, ZDK, Admir Gazić, together with their colleagues, hosted a delegation led by Ambassador Ellen Svendsen, Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Norway to the OSCE, together with representatives of the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During the visit, the delegation toured the modern infrastructure facilities of the ZDK MoI Police Directorate, including a storage for SALW and a K9 center for the training and work of service dogs, which were improved through significant investments realized with the support of international partners and the OSCE Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Public Relations Department of the MoI ZDK announced.

These projects represent an important step forward in strengthening the operational capacities of the police, improving security standards and modernizing the police infrastructure, especially in the segment of safe storage of weapons and creating better conditions for the work and training of service dogs.

During the tour, the results of the realized investments were presented, which significantly improved the working conditions, safety protocols and technical equipment of these capacities, which further strengthened the operational readiness of the police structures.

Minister Emir Vračo thanked Ambassador Ellen Svendsen and the OSCE Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina for their continuous and significant support, stressing that such investments represent a direct contribution to strengthening citizens’ security and modernizing the police system.

Police Commissioner Admir Gazić pointed out that the improved capacities are extremely important for the operational work of the police and that they directly contribute to efficiency and professionalism in the daily execution of police tasks.

At the end of the visit, it was assessed that the cooperation between the ZDK MOI, international partners and the OSCE Mission represents a successful example of a partnership relationship aimed at strengthening security, modernizing police capacities and improving the rule of law, with an expressed willingness to continue joint projects in the coming period, it was announced.
