Iranian-French photographer Manoocher Deghati is looking for the people he photographed during the siege of Sarajevo. Do you know any of them?

“We have new pictures in the system, this is also our 118th gallery. Photographer Manoocher Deghati shared with us some of his works from the period of the siege of Sarajevo. If you know someone, please tag them and, of course, share our post.” stated Džemil Hodžić, who runs the Sniper Alley website. You can view the complete photo gallery here.

Manoocher studied directing in Rome. In the summer of 1978, he returned to Iran. Then the first large demonstrations against the regime broke out, which he filmed.

He photographed all the major events of the new Khomeini regime, the hostage crisis in the American embassy and the Iran-Iraq war, which he covered for six years.

He followed the breakup of Yugoslavia, so he took these photos in Sarajevo. In September 1996, he was seriously wounded by an Israeli sniper in Ramallah (Palestine). He spent two years in France for physical therapy.

He was wounded again in 2000 while covering the visit of French Prime Minister Lionel Jospin to Ramala. He has won numerous awards for his work, Klix.ba writes.
