Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune spoke about the situation in Gaza and said that the Algerian army is ready to act as soon as the border between Gaza and Egypt opens.
During a speech in a city in the northeast of Algeria, the president of this country emphasized that Algeria will never leave Palestine in the lurch.
“We will never leave Palestine, especially Gaza. I swear to God, if they let us and open the borders between Egypt and Gaza, then we can do something,” he said.
He also said that he made a promise when it comes to the reconstruction of Gaza.
“I made a promise and the army is ready as soon as the borders are opened and our trucks are allowed to enter. Within 20 days we will build three hospitals, send hundreds of doctors and help rebuild what the Zionists destroyed,” said the Algerian president.
He also expressed on several occasions Algeria’s full support for the Palestinian resistance and said that it was actually a sacred thing.
The statement of the Algerian president particularly disturbed Israeli officials who said that by sending the army to Gaza, be it for humanitarian purposes, Algeria would open a new front in the fight with Israel, which would lead to further escalation.
