Member of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PSBiH) Saša Magazinović is staying in Malta, where, as the president of the Committee for Sustainable Development of the Global Parliament for Peace and Tolerance, he is participating in numerous meetings and discussions, the focus of which is building peace and tolerance in the current, challenging, circumstances.
On that occasion, Magazinović, as part of the delegation of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, had a meeting with the President of Malta, George Vella.
“The President of Malta, George Vella, did us the honor of receiving us in his residence. This man of peace and tolerance impressed me with his knowledge of the situation in our region, and especially in our country. In the conversation we had, he made it very clear to me that, when he when it comes to joining the European Union, we should not doubt the support of Malta as a member of the EU, but we must show with concrete results that we want it,” said Magazinović after meeting with the President of Malta, expressing complete understanding of the great expectations from the newly formed authorities, as by the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as by international partners.
In addition to the president, numerous other Maltese officials have expressed their support for integration processes, including the Speaker of the Parliament of Malta Angelo Farrugia, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs and Trade Ian Borg, as well as members of the Parliament of this country.
During his stay, Magazinović will have numerous bilateral meetings, and he has been invited to address the Parliament of Malta and to speak on the topic of building peace and tolerance in the region that includes the countries of the Mediterranean, the Middle East and North Africa.
In addition, Magazinović will also speak on the panel about the role of the European Union as a global player in ensuring peace in the Balkan region, according to the press release.
