The public Debt of BiH is 12.8 Billion BAM

The House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PABiH) last week received information on the state of public indebtedness of BiH, which on December 31stlast year amounted to 12.816.030.000 BAM.

Of the total indebtedness, external debt is 9.697.790.000 BAM, and internal debt is 3.118.240.000 BAM.

Compared to the previous year, the public debt of BiH increased by 623.050.000 BAM or 5.11 percent.

In total public indebtedness, the Federation of BiH (FBiH) participates with 51.08 percent, Republika Srpska (RS) with 48.04 percent, institutions of BiH with 0.49 percent and Brcko District with 0.39 percent.

The share of BiH public debt in the gross domestic product last year was 34.82 percent.

Last year, BiH serviced 805.310.000 BAM of external debt, of which 680.370.000 BAM was principal and 124.940.000 interest.
