The Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) Red Cross Society received an appeal from the Turkish Red Crescent regarding the needs following the devastating earthquakes that hit that country.

They stated that they needed help in the form of blankets, folding beds, electric heaters, gas heaters, folding chairs for sitting and sleeping, sleeping bags.

We also need tarpaulins – for placing as a base (of different dimensions), tarpaulins for winterization/protection of tents (of different dimensions), solar chargers/lamps and kitchen sets.

“The Red Crescent of Turkey asked us not to collect and send food and hygiene products, clothing and the like, which is why they sent the official list of needed goods,” the Red Cross of the FBiH stated.

Namely, the donation collection campaign will last 15 days, after which it will be delivered to the Red Crescent of Turkey.

The appeal is addressed to all companies, business entities, but also to citizens who are able to provide support through this type of assistance.

Citizens who are able to donate some of the requested items with the aim of collecting and organizing the donation to Turkey, are asked to contact the local Red Cross in the local town.

The Red Cross in BiH joined in the support and launched the humanitarian number 17023 through which 2 BAM can be donated, and opened a dedicated giro account 1340011130004680 with ASA Bank d.d. Sarajevo, Fra Andjela Zvizdovica 1/A 71000 Sarajevo for the payment of donations (recipient Red Cross Society of BiH, Kranjceviceva 2, 71000 Sarajevo).
