The Republic of Bulgaria has four priorities in relation to Bosnia and Herzegovina – the first is unquestionable support for BiH’s European path, then ensuring stability and security in Southeast Europe, then improving mutual bilateral relations, developing political dialogue, mutual trade, cooperation in various areas such as tourism, energy, infrastructure, and the fourth priority – the issue of contractual and legal relations between the two countries, said Bulgarian Foreign Minister Nikolay Milkov.

BiH Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmedin Konaković met in Bulgaria with Milkov, whom he thanked for the invitation to visit, emphasizing the fact that the Republic of Bulgaria was the first to support the independence of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He welcomed the readiness and proposals for concrete cooperation between the two countries, and consequently extended an invitation to participate in the Sarajevo Business Forum and the International Business Fair in Mostar, which will be held in May.

Konaković emphasized the importance of regularly holding bilateral consultations, which, among other things, provide the possibility of exchanging useful experiences of the Republic of Bulgaria and Bosnia and Herzegovina in the process of joining the European Union.

In the continuation of his visit to Bulgaria, Konaković will also meet with Bulgarian President Rumen Radev and Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria Galab Donev.
