Last night, unrest and demonstrations broke out again across Serbia. The Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that six police officers were injured during the protests, 56 people were detained, and 16 suspects were detained for violent behavior. They added that misdemeanor charges would be filed against 35.

The premises of the Serbian Radical Party in Zemun and the Serbian Progressive Party in Valjevo were attacked by protesters who were passing by. They threw stones at the SRS premises, hit them with poles, and sprayed red paint, while they set fire to the SNS premises in Valjevo, which are located on the ground floor of an apartment building.

Some catering facilities were also demolished, as well as the premises of other parties in power.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said that “those who burned and destroyed Serbia will be held accountable and punished for their crimes, and that Serbia, hardworking people, and the hardworking hands of the people will never be able to defeat them”.

“We will build and renovate the premises of our prosecutor’s office, courts and party premises. We will manage to do all of this together with the people, and for all the bad things it brings to our country and all of us, there is one good thing – all the masks have fallen, people see everything, their nervousness and hysteria are increasing, violence is becoming more pronounced, because they have nothing else to offer,” Vučić said.
