The Saudis are preparing a Lawsuit in The Hague, and the Turks are grateful to them for Uniting their Rivals

Even in the new year 2024, the Turkish public does not stop speaking about the scandal that happened in Saudi Arabia at the end of last week.

The grand final of the Turkish Super Cup between Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray was canceled in Riyadh because a big political scandal broke out, and the scandal will have its epilogue in court.

While in Turkey the media are joking about this topic, “thanking” Saudi Arabia for uniting bitter rivals Fenerbahce and Galatasaray, the Saudis are preparing a lawsuit against the Football Association of Turkey in the competent courts of these two countries, but after that they will even go to the International Court of Justice in The Hague (Netherlands).

Of course, the organizer of the match, the company Riyadh Season, wants to return the money it gave to the Turkish Association for the organization of the match, which is an incredible 40 million euros.

It is certain that Football Association of Turkey will have to return the said money to the Saudis because the match was not played at the stadium in Riyadh due to their fault.

We remind you that the Saudis did not want to allow Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray football players to go out on the field before the match wearing shirts with the image of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the modern Turkish state, and the leaders of the Istanbul giants rebelled.

However, it is clear that the Saudis had a basis for their decision because the mentioned shirts were not something that was stated in the contract that was concluded regarding the organization of this match, Klix.ba writes.
