On a plane flight from Dubai (United Arab Emirates), two mountaineers from Zenica who survived the recent tragic accident on Mount Elbrus in the Russian Federation, Haris Adilović and Kemal Vidimlić, arrived at the Sarajevo airport this evening – confirmed Munever Aganhodžić from the Zenica Mountain Rescue Service.
Adilović and Vidimlić arrived accompanied by the president of the GSS Zenica Dina Ahmetović and the head of the Station Kenan Hrustanović and one member of the medical team of the GSS Zenica.
The reason, of course, is the fact that Adilović and Vidimlić lost five of their colleagues in the accident that happened on Elbrus on July 25 – spouses Alma and Denis Okanović, Nermin Talam, doctor Meliha Čaušević and Almir Kadrić. Their bodies will be returned to their homeland only after the completion of all procedures in the Russian Federation.
- It is good that the state, that is, the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, got involved in everything. We hope it will be quick, but we have to be prepared to wait for some time, until all the procedures are completed – says Aganhodžić.
Upon the return of the deceased mountaineers, a collective funeral was planned in Zenica, because they all died from that city.
