That money is the biggest problem, and the financial situation in Republika Srpska is worrisome, was confirmed by the information on the entity’s debt as of December 31 last year. The numbers are clear and inexorable. The representatives adopted the information, but not a word about who will return the debts.
“The public debt of the Republik Srpska at the end of 2022 amounted to 5.3 billion and made up 37.53 percent of the gross domestic product. The total debt of the RS amounted to 6.3 billion and made up 44.65 percent of the gross domestic product realized in 2022. Now I would first say something related to the structure of the total debt. As I said, it is 6.3 billion and makes up 44.65 percent of the gross domestic product, it consists of external and internal debt, the external debt is 4.2 billion, of which Republika Srpska 3 billion, local self-government units 121 million and public enterprises investment development bank 1 billion”, said Zora Vidović, Minister of Finance of the RS.
