In the District Court in Banja Luka, the trial of Obren Petrović, the former mayor of Doboj, accused of causing a general danger during the floods in Doboj in 2014, which resulted in the deaths of 14 people, began today. In addition to Petrović, who is the president of the SNSD Doboj City Committee, the former head of the Department of Civil Protection in that city, Milko Vidaković, was also charged.
Petrović and Vidaković are accused of causing a large-scale danger to people’s lives and property during the floods in 2014, which resulted in the death of 11 people and great material damage.
At that time, Petrović was a high-ranking official of the Serbian Democratic Party (SDS), which he left after the 2018 general elections and joined Milorad Dodik’s SNSD.
