The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that on August 24, the day Ukraine marks its independence from the Soviet Union in 1991, at least 95 Ukrainian drones were intercepted over more than a dozen Russian regions.
The Kursk Nuclear Power Plant reported that air defenses shot down a drone that exploded near the plant just after midnight, damaging an auxiliary transformer and reducing the operational capacity of Reactor No. 3 by 50 percent.
