The UN Atomic Energy Agency confirmed on Sunday that the level of radiation near the Kursk nuclear power plant, located 60 kilometers from the border with Ukraine, is within normal values.

“Monitoring confirms normal levels of radiation in the vicinity of the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant,” the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) announced on IX.

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that on August 24, the day Ukraine marks its independence from the Soviet Union in 1991, at least 95 Ukrainian drones were intercepted over more than a dozen Russian regions.

The Kursk Nuclear Power Plant reported that air defenses shot down a drone that exploded near the plant just after midnight, damaging an auxiliary transformer and reducing the operational capacity of Reactor No. 3 by 50 percent.
