The president of the Democratic Action Party (SDA) Bakir Izetbegović met today at the party headquarters in Sarajevo with the president of the Democratic Front (DF) Željko Komšić.

This meeting is a continuation of political talks on the implementation of the election results and the possibilities of forming post-election coalitions.

Although the party delegations discussed the overall political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina after the recently held General Elections, the focus of the meeting was the conclusion of mathematically and programmatically viable majorities at the cantonal, federal and state levels.
As announced, the two leaders paid special attention to the political, economic and security challenges the country is facing, with a joint assessment that the priority is the establishment of a stable and functional government that can effectively respond to current crises.
Today’s meeting in Sarajevo practically marks the beginning of intensive post-election negotiations, and in the coming days it is expected to continue consultations with other parliamentary actors in order to crystallize potential coalition majorities.
