nsrsMembers of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska (RS) at the next regular sitting announced for the 15th of September, should consider a Resolution on condemning the Srebrenica genocide, which is proposed by the Caucus of deputies of the “Coalition Domovina”, as well as the declaration on recognition of the Armenian genocide from the 1915th to 1917th, at the initiative of the entity President, Milorad Dodik.

Adoption of the Resolution on condemning Srebrenica genocide have been proposed earlier by the Vice-president of RS, Ramiz Salkić, but responsible authorities in the RS have not accept it, after which the Caucus of deputies of “Coalition Domovina” did it again in the entity parliament.

In the proposed document, they are asking the National Assembly, “while adhering to the constitutional principles and achieving their goals, to strongly condemn the genocide against Bosniaks committed in the protected zone of the United Nations, in July 1995, in Srebrenica.”

Deputies of the Coalition “Domovina” in the proposed resolution are asking from the National Assembly “to expresses their contempt and disgust over all war crimes and violations over the international humanitarian law that were committed on the territory of the RS and B&H, as well as over the all social and political processes and occurrences that lead to the awareness that the realization of  national targets can be achieved by using armed forces and violence over the members of other nations and religions, and they are expecting from all of the investigative and judicial authorities to undertake effective measures and find and prosecute all of the the perpetrators of these crimes.”

They also state that the National Assembly of the RS, “with a feeling of respect for each civilian victim individually, and in particular the victims of genocide, offers apologies and condolences to the victim’s families.”

They consider that “bringing to justice the remaining suspects for genocide and other war crimes represents a precondition for building permanent peace and stability in B&H” as well as that “every denial, justification or relativisation of the Srebrenica genocide or other war crimes represents unacceptable endangerment of peace and security of citizens in the RS and whole B&H.”

On the other hand, the President of RS, Milorad Dodik, is asking for the adoption of the Resolution on recognition of the genocide over Armenians, in the period from 1915 to 1917.
