The Vatican has released the first photo of the head of the Roman Catholic Church, Pope Francis, since he was hospitalized more than a month ago for pneumonia.
“This morning, Pope Francis celebrated Holy Mass in the chapel of the hospital suite on the 10th floor of the Gemelli Polyclinic” in Rome, the caption of the photo, written by the Vatican press service, reads.
The Vatican said the photo was taken today, when the pope celebrated Mass with other priests in the chapel.
It is not yet known when the pope might be released from the hospital.
