The wealth of the ten richest businessmen in the world exceeded 2.5 trillion dollars (2.13 billion euros), while Elon Musk, founder of SpaceX and owner of Tesla, is the richest businessman in the world with 638 billion dollars (542.59 billion euros).

As of December 16, the total wealth of the world’s ten richest businessmen reached $2.536 trillion (€2.16 trillion), an increase of $558.9 billion (€475.32 billion) year-to-date, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

Nine of the ten richest businessmen in the world are from the USA, and one is from France. Eight out of ten are active in the technology sector.

Elon Musk, at the top of the list, has increased his wealth by $205 billion (€174.34 billion) since the beginning of the year, reaching $638 billion (€542.59 billion), and retained the title of the world’s richest person. This rise also made him the person with the highest increase in wealth on the list.

Musk, who also owns artificial intelligence company xAI, is followed by Google co-founder Larry Page with a fortune of $265 billion (€225.37 billion). Page increased his wealth by 96.8 billion dollars (82.32 billion euros).

In third place is Google co-founder Sergey Brin with 247 billion dollars (210 billion euros). Brin increased his wealth by 88.2 billion dollars (75 billion euros) this year.

He is followed by Jeff Bezos, the owner of the American technology and e-commerce company Amazon, with a fortune of 246 billion dollars (209.21 billion euros). Bezos has increased his wealth by 7 billion dollars (5.95 billion euros) since the beginning of the year.

Larry Ellison, the founder of the American technology giant Oracle, took fifth place with a fortune of 238 billion dollars (202.41 billion euros). Ellison has added $46.1 billion (€39.21 billion) to his wealth since the beginning of the year.

Mark Zuckerberg, the owner of Meta, recorded an increase in his wealth by 21.5 billion dollars (18.28 billion euros) to 229 billion dollars (194.76 billion euros).

Bernard Arnault, owner of French clothing brands, also saw his fortune rise by $26.1 billion (€22.20 billion) to $202 billion (€171.79 billion) in the same period.

Steve Ballmer, former CEO of Microsoft, took 8th place on the list, with a fortune that increased by 19 billion dollars (16.16 billion euros) to 166 billion dollars (141.18 billion euros) in the same period.

Ballmer is followed by Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, the world’s most valuable company, with a fortune of 153 billion dollars (130.12 billion euros). Huang has added 39 billion dollars (33.17 billion euros) to his wealth since the beginning of the year.

Despite losing some of its market value due to recent concerns about “high valuations” in the technology and semiconductor sectors, Nvidia maintains its position as the world’s most valuable company, currently worth 4.292 trillion dollars (3.65 trillion euros).

In 10th place on the list is Warren Buffett, one of the world’s most famous investors. Buffett maintained his position with a fortune of $152 billion (€129.27 billion) as of December 16, and is known to have added another $10.2 billion (€8.67 billion) to his wealth since the beginning of the year, AA writes.
