There are currently around 50,000 pregnant women in the Gaza Strip, according to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for the Palestinians (UNRWA).
The announcement of the Office points out that 180 children are born in Gaza every day.
The agency points out that doctors and midwives are doing everything possible to provide care to newborn babies and women with high-risk pregnancies in the remaining seven UNRWA health centers.
Before the start of the conflict in Gaza, UNRWA had 22 health centers.
According to the UN, more than 1.9 million residents of the Gaza Strip, or 85 percent of the population, are now internally displaced. A large number found refuge in overcrowded UNRWA facilities.
