The independent trade union of the Zenica Coal Mines Subsidiary, which has been holding a one-hour warning strike every day since Monday due to non-compliance with the collective agreement, at today’s extended session made a decision to cancel the decision to enter into a general strike, confirmed the president of that trade union, Elvedin Avdić.

Avdić said that this decision had to be invalidated because it was not legally based. However, if the miners do not go down into the pits today, the Union stands by them, he added.

The miners of both pit plants of the Subsidiary Company Brown Coal Mines Zenica, “Raspotočje” and “Stara jama” hereby warn of the problems caused by the blocking of the company’s accounts, which implies unpaid full salaries for March, i.e. unpaid installments of loans to banks for the month of March and the impossibility of payment and for April.
