Third Microsoft Conference in BiH

networkToday, 3 April, in tourist-congress centre Banja Vrućica, third conference of Microsoft NetWork has been opened by Ernst Jan Stigter, executive director of Microsoft for CEE Region and Lejla Zukić-Krivdić, manager of Microsoft in BiH. After the opening speech, they, together with Miha Kralj, senior director in Enterprise Strategy and Architecture unit and Damir Dizdarević, leader of MS Community BiH had a lecture.

Stigter said that this conference is the most respectable IT conference in BIH which promotes the usage of information technologies with the aim of modernising the business and other aspects of BiH society, such as education and administration. He noted that in the next two days there will be a large number of interesting events related to the latest information from the world of Microsoft and IT trends in general with the emphasis on Microsoft.

The conference with 500 participants will offer 60 lectures divided into six parts: BIZ, IT, PRO, DEV, MS Community, Case Studies and EDU.

The lectures will be held by numerous experts and ministers from both FBiH and RS, but also by representatives of Microsoft from Croatia and Serbia.

The joint conclusion is that the investing in IKT education is very important, and participants also expressed the readiness to act jointly in promoting the concept that the education is always an investment not an expense of the country, and they also expressed the readiness to create methods of help to jointly apply to IKT projects in education.

Microsoft NetWork gathered a large number of representatives of BiH economy, both domestic and foreign IT experts who will be acquainted with new Microsoft products.

This year’s conference was supported by numerous sponsors and partners, such as Logosoft, Combis, LANACO, AvaCom, SRC, BH Telecom and K2, PlanB, TeamWork, British Council, Hewlett Packard.
