Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) yesterday (January 18, 2026) within the framework of the operational action codenamed “Luka” deprived three persons of their freedom, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that they had committed the crimes “Organized crime” and “Unauthorized traffic in narcotic drugs” prescribed by the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During the implementation of this operational action, two kilograms of powdery substance, which in its appearance is associated with the narcotic drug cocaine, a passenger motor vehicle and other items that can be used as evidence that the aforementioned crimes were committed, were discovered and temporarily confiscated from persons deprived of their liberty.

The persons in question will be handed over to the further jurisdiction of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina after criminal processing and interrogation as suspects, under whose supervision the activities in the field were carried out.

During the implementation of the “Luka” operational action, cooperation was achieved with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, the Intelligence and Security Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Ministries of Internal Affairs of the Republika Srpska and Sarajevo Canton, SIPA announced.
