A woman from Bosnia and Herzegovina was murdered on Tuesday night in Den Haag, the Dutch Omroepwest reported. According to initial findings, the murdered is her ex-husband, who killed himself afterwards.
The woman was murdered in the Loosduinse Hoofdstraat Street and she had already been threatened earlier by her ex-husband, whom she divorced in summer 2015; the Dutch media reported, quoting statements of people who knew the couple.
According to the nearest neighbor, the woman was afraid that her children will be kidnapped after the divorce, which is why police had already intervened at their house. Despite of efforts by the media, the police does not want to reveal the name of the victim yet, since the family members are the first that have to be informed.
Meanwhile, police officers from Den Haag discovered a car in which a man was found with a gunshot wound to the head. What caused the most speculations and what intrigued the B&H citizens in the Netherlands is the fact that the car had diplomatic plates, which indicates possible B&H citizens from one of diplomatic missions of B&H in Den Haag.
The murder shocked the B&H community in that country. Ambassador Ahmet Halilović denied the possibility that the murderer was from the staff of the Embassy of B&H in Den Haag or any diplomatic mission of B&H in the capital of the Netherlands.
“It is true that a car with diplomatic plates was used, and the victim is a citizen of B&H who worked at the International Court for Lebanon,” Ambassador Halilović stated briefly.
