Government Session Tomorrow on the Laws for Confiscation of Illegally Acquired Property and Anti-Corruption

niksic_nerminThe Federal Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić stated today that one of the prerequisites for an effective fight against corruption and organized crime is the adoption of an adequate legal framework.

Prime Minister Nikšić at a press conference in Sarajevo presented a set of laws from the field of fight against corruption and organized crime in the Federation of B&H, and the package of laws aiming to strengthening fiscal discipline, new employment, improving of the employees conditions and investments in the Federation.

The Prime Minister announced that the regular session of the Government will be held tomorrow and on its agenda, among other things, will be the second part of the laws of a special legislative package, which is being prepared for a long period. It is about the Law on confiscation of illegally acquired property, the Law on the Suppression of Corruption and Organized Crime, and the amendments to the Criminal Code of the Federation.

“These laws aim to create the conditions for a decisive reduction of organized crime and corruption in the FB&H”, stated the prime minister. He added that the aim of all these laws is to come into force no later than the beginning of 2014.
