The Government of Republika Srpska (RS) at its session adopted the information on the achievement of agricultural production in 2017 and supported the activities of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, which are aimed at monitoring the situation in the field of agrarian sector and taking the measures that derive from the Economic Reform Program from 2018 to 2021.

It is estimated that the total value of agricultural production in 2017 will be 1.690.293.471 BAM, which is 16 percent more than the average total value of agricultural production for the last three years.

“The total value of production in the food industry is estimated at 966.372.000 BAM, while the total value of agricultural production and processing industry is 2.270.286.627 BAM,” it is added in the statement.

Despite the lack of adequate measures for the protection of domestic production by institutions at the level of Bosnia Herzegovina (BiH), people responsible for the foreign trade business, RS has recorded the growth of exports of agricultural and food products, in value and quantity, in the last three years.

“RS imports about 28 percent of total imports of BiH, while exports amount to around 40 percent of total exports of BiH, “ the Government claims.

Agricultural incentives amounted to 112.232.760 BAM in 2017.

The Government has met all obligations to agricultural producers in the middle of 2017, while yesterday, based on the 2017 incentive, through the Agrarian Payments Agency, a total of 38.500.000 BAM has been paid, ie all payments have been made based on the requests received so far.
