Tourists thrilled with Sarajevo: Phenomenal City, kind People and great Food

Since last week, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) is full of tourists from countries around the world, and as every year most of them are citizens from neighboring Croatia. Some came for the first time, and some come every year. The goal was the same for all of them – to welcome the New Year in the open air with Zdravko Colic.

Tourists are walking around the city, exploring cultural and historical sights, enjoying traditional dishes and Bosnian coffee. Valentina Prosinecki from Krapina comes to Sarajevo every year, but for the first time she was there at the best night of the year. Unlike her, Matija Brentin from Rijeka came for the first time.

“I’ve never been to Sarajevo before, and it was a great wish for me. We have combined the New Year’s Eve here and Zdravko Colic.” Sarajevo is great and has a different style from all Croatian cities, although Rijeka is also a multicultural city, “ Matija said.

Sanja from Zagreb visited Sarajevo after 10 years, and one of the main reasons was Zdravko Colic.

“People are awesome, very kind, and we like Colic, so we came here,” she said.

Alen and Josip, who are also from Zagreb, arrived three days ago to enjoy the New Year’s atmosphere.

“The city is phenomenal, people are accessible and great, and the food is great. We’ll be back again, that’s for sure,” they said.

Drazen welcomes New Year in Sarajevo for the fourth time. He pointed out how much he liked this city and he was always happy to come back.

The city is also honored with the arrival of a large number of Italians and Germans. This year many tourists from Turkey arrived, mostly young people from Istanbul.

“I’m here for the first time and it is very nice. The food is delicious, the clubs are good, and Ferhadija is beautiful. I will surely come again,” Ozcan Carga said.
