Transporters warn again: When Transport stops, the Economy of BiH stops too

The transport sector of Bosnia and Herzegovina does not have time to wait for another year of promises, warned the BiH Logistics Consortium, adding that by the time of the protest scheduled for March 23, they hope for concrete steps from the institutions to resolve their problems.

“First of all, in protecting the right to work of road transporters, but also in implementing the measures that have already been promised to the transport sector,” said the Consortium, adding that they are still open to cooperation.

They recalled their demands, which, as they emphasize, they will not give up.

“Bosnia and Herzegovina must decisively and institutionally protect the right to work of its transport companies and professional drivers in international traffic,” they stated as the first demand.

In addition, they demand urgent relief from the business of transport companies, in terms of refunding at least 50% of excise duty on fuel, resolving the issue of VAT refund for transport services, adopting measures that will enable more competitive and sustainable business of transport companies in BiH, for the ITA BiH to fulfill the agreements reached with representatives of the transport sector, and the active involvement of the Ministry of Communications and Transport of BiH and the entity ministries of transport in the implementation of agreed reforms.
