norOn July 3, representatives from The High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of BiH, the Rechtspraak of the Netherlands, and the Norwegian Court Administration, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU).

The three countries have a longstanding tradition for close cooperation in the field of judiciary. The main purpose of the MoU, however, is to confirm the intention and willingness of all parties for future cooperation in areas of common interest, especially as regards improving the efficiency of the judiciary in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Norway has supported The High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of BiH – both politically and financially – ever since it was established in June 2004. In total Norway has contributed with more than BAM 25 million to the Bosnian and Herzegovinian judiciary.
