American President Donald Trump said today that the Iranians want to talk to him and added that they will do so, but did not specify exactly when.
“The Iranians want to talk to me and I agreed to talk to them. They should have done it sooner. They waited too long,” Trump told The Atlantic.
When asked when these talks will be held, the American president said that he does not yet know the exact date and added that some of the Iranians who participated in the negotiations in recent weeks are dead.
Speaking about the continuation of the operation to support a possible popular uprising in Iran, Trump said that he must first assess the situation and make a decision.
Israel and the United States attacked Iran early Saturday morning. Iran retaliated with missile attacks on several countries in the region, above all where there is an American military presence.
