Trump says Israel should end the War

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said he would respond in the same way as Israel did after Hamas’ attack on October 7th, but he emphasized that Israel is losing international support and needs to end its war against the Islamist group in Gaza.

Hamas’ deadly rampage through southern Israel is “one of the saddest things I’ve ever seen,” Trump said.

“But, you have to end your war. You have to end it,” he stressed.

The former United States (U.S.) president said this in an interview with the Israeli newspaper published on Monday.

The video of the interview was published on the website of the newspaper.

Trump was also asked how he would react if his family had been victims of Hamas’ attack.

“I would say I would react pretty much the same as you. You have to be crazy not to. Only a fool wouldn’t do that. It was a terrible attack,” he said.

“I am very upset when I see people no longer talking about October 7th, but about how Israel is aggressive,” he added.

In the attack led by Hamas, 1.200 people were killed and more than 250 were taken hostage, according to Israeli data.

Since then, more than 32.000 people have been killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza, according to health authorities in Gaza, which is controlled by Hamas.
