Twenty Trucks of humanitarian Aid leave Banja Luka for Turkey

The President of Republika Srpska (RS) Milorad Dodik boasted about the large aid contingent that will leave Banja Luka for Turkey today as a form of aid to the earthquake-ravaged areas.

“Tomorrow, the RS is sending 20 aid trucks to the friendly Turkish people in the most vulnerable areas affected by the earthquake,” said Milorad Dodik yesterday.

Dodik stated that the RS has once again shown its humane side, and thanks to this, the most vulnerable will receive help in the form of canned food, meat products, flour, sugar and blankets.

“I am grateful to everyone who participated in the organization, the Government of RS, but also the Red Cross of RS. I also want to thank the Turkish consulate in Banja Luka with which we coordinated the activities,” said Dodik.

Despite the great desire to help the Syrian people, Dodik said that unfortunately this time RS will not be able to send aid because there is no way to organize transportation and crossing the border.

“In the coming period, the RS will try to find a way to help Syria as well and show its solidarity in that way,” Dodik announced on his official Twitter.

Strong earthquakes hit Turkey on February 6th. The tremors were also felt in neighboring countries, mostly in Syria, where several thousand people died. The death toll in Turkey exceeded 42,000 people, Klix.ba reports.
