Two Persons arrested, Thirteen Kilograms of Drugs were confiscated

In the territory of the municipality of Novo Sarajevo, under the supervision of the prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of the Canton of Sarajevo, and based on the order of the Municipal Court in Sarajevo, police officers last night searched a motor vehicle, inside of which 12 (twelve) PVC packages containing 13 kilograms of marijuana were found. The search was found and a certain amount of cash in EUR and bam currencies, and other subjects of interest to investigate.

Arrested was persom of R.Š. initials from Trebinje on grounds of suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of unauthorized production and distribution of drugs (Article 238, paragraph 1, CC FBiH), and D.P. (22) from Sarajevo due to the grounds of suspicion that he committed the criminal offenses of unauthorized production and distribution of drugs (Article 238, paragraph 1, CC FBiH) and possession and facilitating the consumption of drugs (Article 239, paragraph 3, CC FBiH).

The travel motor vehicle “Mercedes” was also temporarily confiscated.

Operation “Hornet” was carried out last night by police officers of the Department for Combating Drug Abuse of the Police Administration of the MUP of Sarajevo Canton, in cooperation with the Directorate for Organized and Serious Crime of the MUP of the RS and officers of the Intelligence and Security Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Police officers of the Police Management Board of the Sarajevo Canton continue further work within this action, the KS MUP said in a press release.
