bilino_polje_nocThe chief of the section for development of national associations, Thierry Favre, was in Zenica, and the aim of the visit was to consider the opportunities of UEFA investments in Bilino Polje.

During the tour of the rooms and the field, it was decided that for the qualifications for the European Championship Bilino Polje stadium will have new lighting on the field and the internal works in the official premises.

Director of the Football club “Čelik”, Alija Porča, said that they are happy because “Zmajevo gnijezdo” (Dragon’s nest) will be more beautiful and lighter.

“Since today, Bilino Polje went through several phases of reconstruction, and this was one which will offer even better conditions for the European Championship in 2016. This time UEFA will grant the financial resources for lighting enhancement and several internal works, all in order for our representatives to play in better conditions”, said Porča.

After the matches of the half finals of the Cup of Bosnia and Herzegovina Čelik – Široki Brijeg, almost until midnight  workers went on the field and measured the strength of reflectors. It was planned that the works should be finished by September this year.
