The air in Sarajevo this morning is unhealthy, so citizens are recommended to avoid being outside because of possible negative consequences for the respiratory organs, it was announced on the website “Zrak.ekoakcija”.
The measurement at 8:00 a.m. showed that the air quality index in Sarajevo was 167.
Lung and heart patients, pregnant women, children and the elderly must avoid any activities while outside.
The air is unhealthy for sensitive population groups in Tuzla with an index of 140, Travnik with 109 and Visoko with a quality index of 106.
The air is moderately polluted in Zenica with an index of 83, Kakanj with 81, Maglaj with 64 and Mostar with 55.
An air quality index value of zero to 50 is good, 51 to 100 is moderately polluted, 101 to 150 is unhealthy for sensitive population groups, 151 to 200 is unhealthy, 201 to 300 is very unhealthy and more than 300 is hazardous to health.
