Today in Sarajevo, the Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina Selmo Cikotic met with the leaders of the entity civil protection services and the Brcko District of BiH, with whom he discussed the current situation in the field of protection and rescue and challenges in the work and cooperation of civil protection services.

On that occasion, views were exchanged on the challenges and continued implementation of joint exercises and projects, especially the field exercise ‘ResponSEE’, which takes place in late April and is part of the preparation of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s structures for BiH membership in the EU Civil Protection Mechanism of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It was concluded that all initiated activities will continue to be implemented, including the ResponSEE exercise, with a high degree of cooperation and coordination of all protection and rescue structures in order to strengthen capacity and readiness for a more efficient response to natural and other disasters.

The meeting was attended by Acting Director of the Republic Administration of Civil Protection of RS Milan Novitović, Acting Director of the Federal Administration of Civil Protection of FBiH Enes Memic and Head of the Public Security Department of the Brcko District of BiH Bogdan Bratić, according to the Ministry of Security of BiH.
