US Companies ready to deliver high-quality Fuel and replenish Storage Facilities in BiH

Protecting consumers in BiH from the volatility of fuel prices on the global market was the focus of today’s meeting between Chargé d’Affaires John Ginkel and FBiH Minister of Trade Amir Hasičević, the US Embassy in Sarajevo announced.

Chargé d’Affaires Ginkel welcomed the efforts of the FBiH Government to adopt an initiative that requests the BiH Council of Ministers to temporarily lift tariffs on oil imports from countries that are not members of the EU or CEFTA.

This initiative would diversify BiH’s oil sources, ensure greater security and stability of supply, and reduce the price volatility that consumers experience at the pumps.

“The United States is the world’s largest oil producer, and American companies are ready to deliver high-quality fuel and replenish storage facilities in BiH if tariffs are lifted,” the announcement states.
