The Embassy of the United States of America in BiH welcomed the European Union’s decision to grant Bosnia and Herzegovina candidate status.
“The people of this country deserve it even if the country’s political leaders have done little to make it happen.
Those leaders in the new governments they are now forming must demonstrate that their commitment to the European perspective is real, by adopting the reforms needed to unlock the benefits of candidate status and ensure their voters the democratic and prosperous future they want and deserve,” the US Embassy said.
The embassy noted that the road to Europe is open and it is time for those charged with navigating it to get to work.
